On Tuesday 2/24/09, we were invited by Mr. Maetzler and Ms. Wolf to visit BGH Edelstahl a major steel making firm in Germany. We had the opportunity to tour their operation in Freital. This factory is over 100 years old. They manufacture wiring and steel stock for industrial use. The tour lasted 2 hours, in the following photos you will see the blast furnace in opertation, and the milling process. After the tour we were guests at a luncheon provided by the factory.After lunch we celebrated Faschnacht with donuts!
