Well, look at that title -- the town of Freital and the name of the day, Freitag, have a one letter difference. Oh well, let's go shopping. But wait - we need to find out a little more about our 2 sightseeing trips - Berlin and Prague.
Berlin's most historical landmark is The Reichstag, the seat of the German Parliament. It is close to the Brandenburger Gate and before the unification, it was located right next to the "wall". The building was constructed between 1884 and 1894. The famous inscription "Dem Deutschen Volke" (to the German people) was added in 1916 by emporer Wilhelm II. A little trivia - the bronze letters were cast from seized French cannons! Check out the picture!
Tomorrow, we'll talk about Prague - and yes, I promise we will get to shopping.
